The above is how the dance was originally collected, but it is less tedious if the first couple dance round in 8 bars making it a 24 bar dance - I find this an easy and enjoyable way of performing it.

NOTE: In a 3 couple dance first couple must lead to bottom in last two
bars of B2, third couple moving up in the first version, but in the
second version the third couple can finish their dance round in second
couple's place, first couple moving to bottom.
Repeat in new places.
